In the course of providing fractional CFO, reporting, reconciliation, review and annual financial statement services, we may process:
We process this information to deliver our services, meet our contractual, tax, and professional obligations (including those arising under the Companies Act, 71 of 2008, and the SAICA Code of Professional Conduct), and to respond to enquiries. We do not sell personal information.
Processing relies on one or more of: your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation we are subject to, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our services.
We use reputable cloud accounting and business tools (such as Xero) to deliver our services, which may store data outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the receiving party is subject to a comparable level of protection to POPIA. We do not share personal information with third parties beyond what is needed to deliver our services or as required by law.
We retain records for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose they were collected for, and as required by tax, companies, and professional-conduct legislation. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure.
Subject to POPIA, you may request access to, or correction or deletion of, your personal information, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer using the details above.
If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with POPIA, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) — inforegulator.org.za.
Our PAIA Manual, describing how to request access to records we hold, is available on request from our Information Officer.
